Enable AWS Multi-Factor Authentication for your IAM User

Step1. Install Authenticator app

• Open your smart phone (iphone or android mobile)

• Go to App Store(or CH Play)

• Search “Google Authenticator”

• Then install this app

Step2. Enable Multi-Factor Authentication for your iam-user

• Go to IAM Console -> User -> Choose your iam-user -> choose Security credentials tab

• Find “Assigned MFA device” item, then choose Manage -> When “Manage MFA device” dialog was displayed, choose Virtual MFA device, then “Continue”

• When “Set up virtual MFA device” dialog was displayed, choose “Show QR code” dialog -> A “QR code” was displayed

• On your smart phone open “Google Authenticator” app, then click (+) button -> Choose “Scan barcode” -> The scan barcode in Iam console

• Get code from “Google Authenticator” app > go to “Set up virtual MFA device” dialog -> Fill MFA Code1, MFA Code2, then Assign MFA

Step3. Login to aws console

• Login to aws console by user/pass

• Get code from “Google Authenticator” then fill to “MFA Code” box
